417,345. Carding-engines. COMPANIA ANON. STATIC, 484, Avenida 14 de Abril, Barcelona, Spain. May 9, 1933, No. 13451. Convention date, Aug. 18, 1932. [Class 120 (i).] In order to prevent fibres &c. from collecting in the clothing of the main cylinder 1 of a carding-machine, one or more plates 3 are mounted transversely and concentrically therewith, the plate or plates being a bad conductor of electricity and each comprising a curved frame 4 covered with cloth, plush, silk, wool, cotton, rubber bristle or the like 5 and mounted adjacent the surface of the carding cylinder so that the fibres in the card clothing rub thereon and are held in the ends of the card teeth as though electrified.
