Abstract
410,606. Thermionic valves and valve circuits. M-O VALVE CO., Ltd., Marconi House, Strand, London, and ALDOUS, W. H., c/o General Electric Co., Wembley, Middlesex. April 26, 1933, No. 12189. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v).] A multiple valve of the kind having an electrode common to two or more electrode systems is so arranged that the common electrode forms an essential part of the envelope. In one form, Fig. 1, a valve has an anode 1 forming part of the envelope, and cathodes 4, 4<1> and grids 5, 5<1> separated by a metal partition 2. In a modification three electrode sets, separated by three partitions, are placed within the anode. Fig. 3 shows a valve of this type used as a push-push amplifier with a driver stage. The input is applied to the first stage at 9, 10 and the output transformer of this stage has its primary 12 on the cathode side of the valve circuit. Secondaries 13, 14 feed the push-push stages and the output is taken from a transformer 16 of which the primary 15 is connected between the cathodes 4<1>, 4<11>.
