Abstract
537,900. Valve amplifying circuits. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. Feb. 24, 1940, No. 3512. Convention date, Feb. 27, 1939. [Class 40 (v)] In an amplifying circuit comprising a discharge tube 1 containing a thermionic cathode 2, at least one control grid 3, an anode 4 and an auxiliary cathode 5 emitting secondary electrons upon electron bombardment, the circuit of the auxiliary cathode 5 includes an impedance 13 part of the voltage across which is fed back in a regenerative sense to the control-grid circuit. As shown the feed-back is through a tapping 14 and a condenser 15 to the control-grid 3.
