[Class 40 (v)] In a valve having a heated cathode 2, at least one control grid, an anode 5, and an auxiliary electrode 6 emitting secondary electrons, an output impedance 16, 17 being connected between electrodes 5, 6 and an intermediate point 13 of the impedance being connected to the cathode, as described in the parent Specification, the point 13 is so chosen that the absolute values of the potential fluctuations at electrodes 5, 6 are substantially equal and a balanced push-pull output may be obtained.
