Abstract
408,307. Attaching handles &c. to attachÚ cases &c. CHENEY, C. W., Factory Road, Soho, Birmingham. Oct. 1, 1932, No. 27271. [Class 89 (iii).] A machine in which handles and other fastenings and fittings are secured to attachÚ-cases and the like by means of tools operated by a vertical sliding plunger is characterised in that the plunger f, which slides in a member d under the action of a lever g, is formed with an integral projection f<2> of angular cross section adapted to engage with an eye l<2> of corresponding cross section formed in a carrier l for the upper tools. The carrier l is provided with a pivoted cam m to cooperate with a notch f<3> formed in the projection f<2>, to hold the carrier l in position. In a modification, the eye may be formed in the plunger f, and the projection on the upper tool carrier. Specifications 215,478, [Class 89 (iii)], and 396,726 are referred to.
