345,586. Hasp fastenings. KESSNER, M., 70A, Urban Strasse, Berlin. June 20; 1930, No. 18866. Convention date, Jan. 22. [Class 44.] In a fastening for boxes &c. of the kind in which a frame 3 pivotally mounted on the lid is engaged by a clasp 6 on the body of the box, the frame 3 is pivotally and slidably mounted in slots in an attachment member 1 and is acted on by springs 4, 5 urging the frame in a direction to hold the lid closed under spring pressure. The clasps 6, hinged at 3<1> to an attachment member 2, is passed through the frame and then turned down to the position shown, in which a stud 7 on the clasp enters member 2 and is retained by a key-operated pivoted member 8 engaging a notch in the stud.
