Abstract
407,882. Ammunition cartridge cases. DHOME, A., and DEFFRENNE, P., 12<bis>, Place de Laborde, Paris. Sept. 1, 1933, Nos. 24349 and 24350. Convention dates, Oct. 8, 1932 and Dec. 16, 1932. [Class 9 (i).] The rear end of a metal cartridge case or a rear metal piece 2 inserted in a cardboard case 1<1> is made spherical or orgival and of a thickness gradually increasing towards the base so that this rear end or piece can of itself resist completely the force of the gases of the powder. This rear end or piece 2 ends in a strong neck 3 for the reception of the percussion cap, and is surrounded by a base member 4 formed with a flange 6 fitting the neck 3 and with the usual rim 5. The front end of this base member 4 fits the case around the front part of the rear end or piece 2 acting as a reinforcement there.
