Abstract
453,655. Making spherical containers. TREVORROW, J. H. L., and CHESTERFIELD TUBE CO., Ltd., Derby Road, Chesterfield. March 15, 1935, No. 8119. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] A hemispherical &c. blank C with a cylindrical extension A is provided with one or more projections B by which it can be gripped during necking in of the walls as at E to form a seamless spherical container for pressure gas. The blank may be machined to required thickness before necking, and may be machined to final size and the projections removed after necking. If desired the neck may be closed up and a valve hole made in the projection B.
