Abstract

397,311. Electric incandescent lamps and lamp-holders. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militarstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. Sept. 14, 1932, No. 25528. Convention date, Nov. 26, 1931. [Class 39 (ii).] To facilitate the correct focusing of an electric lamp bulb relatively to a reflector the cap of the bulb is provided with a stop flange k, Fig. 3, which abuts against the edge of the lamp holder e, Fig. 2, when the lamp is inserted therein, the lamp being retained within the holder by a spring engaging within an annular groove i spaced from the flange k on the cap. The lamp holder e has a plain tubular socket with a single slot g in a plane at right-angles to its axis to receive the straight transverse portion h of a yoked or U-shaped wire locking- spring the lateral limbs of which bear upon the wall of the socket, this wall being provided with two diametrically opposite longitudinal slots f to render it sufficiently resilient to be pressed upon the lamp cap. The holder e is mounted on a plate c secured in the neck of a reflector.
