Abstract

412,161. Electric-lamp holders. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militõrstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. Sept. 14, 1932, No. 25529. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, May 26, 1933]. [Class 39 (ii).] A holder for electric incandescent lamps, more particularly for use in vehicle lamps comprises a member formed with a plain tubular sleeve e, Figs. 1 and 2, which has a single slot g in a plane at right-angles to the axis to receive the straight transverse portion h of a yoked or U-shaped wire locking member which projects across the internal circumference of the sleeve and serves to secure a lamp having either a circumferential groove or a series of screw threads in the cap, forming in the latter instance a remnant of a female thread to receive a screw-threaded lamp cap. The sleeve e is provided with two diametrically opposite longitudinal slots f so that it is compressed around the lamp cap by the shanks of the wire locking-member. The sleeve e is mounted on a plate c secured in the neck a of a reflector b. The cap of the lamp shown in the example is provided with a peripheral groove i and a stop or abutment collar k, as described in Specification 397,311.
