Arc lamps.-To provide for the automatic focusing of electric arc and other lamps when inserting them into their holders, three attachment points 3 are formed on the simple cap 1 of the bulb 5 in accurately gauged positions relatively to the light source, and these points co-operate with three corresponding attachment points 7 on the holder, being forced into accurate engagement therewith by a spring 8 and a sleeve A bearing on a shoulder B of the cap.
