Abstract
396,466. Bushes for bungholes. MAUSER MASCHINENBAU GES., 28, Marienburgerstrasse, and MAUSER, K. W., 25, Marienburgerstrasse, Marienburg, Cologne, Germany. Feb. 19, 1932, No. 4971. [Class 21.] A bung closure for metal vessels comprises a threaded bushing a, Fig. 1, and a polygonal annulus b welded thereto, and resting in a polygonal recess in the wall b<1>, the rim of the wall being folded or beaded over the edge a<1> of the bushing a in such a way as to provide a shoulder d<1> beneath the bead c under which the edge /-of a cap g may engage. A gasket h<1> is interposed between the bead c and a bung h. A modified form is shown in Fig. 2.
