Abstract
397,792. Closures for bottles &c, VETRERIE RIUNITE ANGELO BORDONI E DI SAN PAOLO SOC. ANON., 29, Via Savona, Milan, Italy. March 21, 1933, No. 8546. Convention date, April 2, 1932. [Class 125 (iii).] A closure for a container of glass or other frangible material comprises in combination a plurality of lateral projections integral with the exterior of the container neck and easily removable therefrom, and a skirted metal cap, part of which engages securing means on the neck which prevent axial displacement of the cap, means being provided in the cap skirt for accommodating the said projections so as to prevent rotation of the cap relative to the container, the cap being removed from the container by detaching the projections, whereby it may be rotated out of engagement with the securing means. As shown, the projections on a bottle neck consist of two diametricallyopposed spherical knobs b over which fit slots f in the cap skirt. The securing means may comprise bead portions a which merge into the bottle neck at d, or screw-threads, or the cap skirt may have projections n which engage L-shaped grooves in the bottle neck.
