Abstract

390,422. Hinged caps for bottles. K R A F T , A., 19, Feilitzschstrasse, and KRAEMER, H., 22, Kohlbergerstrasse, Munich, Germany. Sept. 23, 1932, No. 26515. [Class 125 (iii).] The cap 2 of a bottle is hinged to a ring 3 which is secured against rotation on the bottle-neck 1. A locking ring 14 has a lug 17 thereon which engages in a bayonet-slot 20 in the cap. To lock the cap the ring is rotated so that the lug 17 rides up the tightening surface 21 into a notch 22. The ring 3 is locked to the bottle neck by interengaging projections and recesses, and has a lug thereon to which the cap is hingedly connected. An abutment may be provided on the ring 3 engaging in a slot in the ring 14 to limit the turning movement thereof, and projections 26 may be provided on the ring 14 to facilitate manipulation. A cork &c. packing disc 27 may be provided inside the cap 2.
