Abstract

321,551. Anchor Cap & Closure Corporation, and Hammer, C. Nov. 9, 1928. Vacuum closures; stoppers, bayonet-joint.-A cap 5 for bottles &c. of the type described in Specification 280,853 is provided with lugs 10 which engage the upper sides of the threads 3 on backward rotation of the cap and break the vacuum. Locking projections 6 engage the undersides of the threads to draw the cap down on its seat. The lugs are in alignment with the projection 6 and a rubber &c. gasket, may be interposed between the cap and the bottle.
