Abstract

430,600. Closures for bottles &c. UNITED DAIRIES (LONDON), Ltd., and LUNN, F. M., 34, Scrubs Lane, Willesden, London. April 20, 1934, No. 11991. [Class 125 (iii)] In a bottle or like container having a closure formed by a cap 18 which is pressed over a continuous downwardlydirected shoulder formed by a rib extending continuously around the mouth of the bottle, the continuous shoulder 14 forming a well-defined sealing edge has a number of spaced downwardly-directed projections 15 around which the sealing edge is continuous. The projections may be of triangular shape with downwardlydirected apices as shown or of rectangular shape and may extend only partly across a groove 12, the upper side of which forms the shoulder 14.
