393,852. Incendiary bullets. SOC. METALLURGICA ITALIANA, 18, Via Leopardi, Milan, Italy. Nov. 8, 1932, No. 31508. Convention date, Nov. 30, 1931. [Class 9 (i).] An incendiarv or flash or smoke-producing projectile of small calibre comprises a strong thin metal casing 1 containing a charge 4 of phosphorus or like substance capable of igniting on contact with air, the casing 1 being closed at the front end, which forms the nose of the projectile, and at the rear end which fits in an outer casing 2. A mass 3 of heavy metal such as lead is held in position behind the charge 4 by turning in a rear flange 1<1> of the casing 1. When the projectile strikes an obstacle, the thin casing is ruptured and the charge ignites.
