Abstract

In a process for improving the alloys described in the parent Specification, especially those containing up to 36 per cent of nickel, the alloys are quenched from 800-1200 DEG C. and reheated to 700-850 DEG C. Alloys containing 12 per cent of chromium, 1 per cent of beryllium and 8 or 11 per cent of nickel and the remainder iron are referred to. The treated alloys may be used for the manufacture of springs.
