Abstract
Permanent magnets resistant to temperature changes are made from improvable ferromagnetic alloys more especially one containing 15 per cent of tungsten and 30 per cent of cobalt. The alloys are first quenched in order to attain their optimum magnetic properties and then annealed at elevated temperatures, up to about 700 DEG C. In an example, an alloy of the composition referred to above, is quenched from 1200 DEG C. and then annealed for an hour at 700 DEG C.
