Abstract

Aluminium alloys contain 2-5 per cent of magnesium, 6,5-14 per cent of zinc, up to 2 per cent of nickel, up to 1,5 per cent of iron, and 0,1-1 per cent of silicon, with or without up to a p total of 2,5 per cent of any of the following: up to 1,5 per cent of manganese and molybdenum, and up to 1 per cent of cobalt, vanadium, tungsten, titanium, lithium, and beryllium. The alloys may be heated at 450-500 DEG C. for 1-2 hours, quenched, left for 2 days at atmospheric temperature, and then annealed at 100-160 DEG C. for 2 days.
