392,137. Slicing-machines. KOLARIK, M., 9, Ottakringerstrasse, and SPARRER, F., 36, Schumanngasse, both in Vienna. Aug. 4, 1931, No. 22125. Convention date, Aug. 4, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 28 (ii).] In a slicing-machine having a spiral knife 10 and a gauge-plate at the back rotatable therewith, the gauge-plate 14 has a recess or channel 21 therein, the outer edge of which is spaced uniformly from the slicing edge of the knife. The gauge-plate is carried by a sleeve 23 having a bent rod 15 projecting backwardly therefrom and engaging the threads of an internally screwed adjusting knob 17 which is rotatable on the sleeve of the driving handle 12. The adjusting knob is retained in position by a keeper plate 18, whilst the drive from the handle 12 is transmitted to the gauge-plate and the knife by a set-screw 13. The food rests upon a table 1 and is fed to the knife through an opening 3 in the usual casing. A fence-plate 7 takes the slicing thrust, and the inclination of the plate 7 is adjustable by a knob 6 to permit the food to be cut obliquely. The cut slices pass into the channel 21 in the gaugeplate and drop into a delivery funnel.
