Abstract

390,104. Loom jacquards. PETZOLDT, K., 57, M³chnerstrasse, and SACHSISCHE WEBSTUHLFABRIK, 8, Fischiveg, both in Chemnitz, Germany. Nov. 15, 1932, No. 32293. [Class 142 (i).] A jacquard for weaving single and double shuttle double warp pile fabrics consists of two or more sections OW, UW, Fig. 1 each provided with three lifting means, namely, one griffe or knife box OMK, UMK, which can grip double-ended hooks OP, UP in one position, and a second griffe box or finger rake OFR, UFR, which can grip the hooks in the other position, and a bottom board OPB, UPB for the lifting in common of all the hooks of one section, the lifting means being capable of carrying out their maximum lift independently of each other. Figs. 2<a>, 2<b> and 2<c> show diagrammatically the three successive working positions of the jacquard corresponding to the weft pairs I, II, III respectively of the double shuttle three weft double carpet fabric shown in Fig. 3. A further example is given for the production of a single shuttle double weft double carpet fabric.
