Convention date, Oct. 14, 1931. [Class 83 (i).] Moulds.-In the centrifugal casting of a hollow body rapid cooling means is provided where the body terminates so as to solidify the metal d<1> at this point and thus prevent the still liquid metal d from escaping. By this means a body may be cast with a hole smaller than the runner c. The cooling means may comprise a ring b of metal or other good conductor and a water jacket a<3> or current of air.
