Abstract

389,017. Air-compressers. RAYNER, G. H. T., 14, Broomhall Road, and RAYNER, P. T., 37, Ashland Road, both in Sheffield. Sept. 12, 1932, No. 25396. [Class 8 (i).] An air-inlet valve for an air-compresser comprises a piston valve 13, the axis of which is perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder 2. The valve is actuated by a cam groove 21 in which is guided a roller 22 secured to a forked rod 19. The arms of the fork surround the crankshaft and fins on the fork may fit in grooves in the crankcase.
