401,134. Valves. BRITISH CONTINENTAL MOTORS, Ltd., 150, St. Vincent Street, Glasgow. Jan. 7, 1933, No. 594. Convention date, March 3, 1932. [Class 7 (vi).] A sleeve valve B has a clearance space 31a with the cylinder wall 10 sufficiently great to prevent the formation of an oil film therein, and as the valve B reciprocates a portion of the lubricant therein is forced through holes 32 in the valve and into the crank chamber. The valve B also has clearance spaces 30, 31, in which an oil film forms for lubricating the valve, and bearing portions 25, 26, 29, 29a. Specification 382,571 is referred to.
