Abstract

383,218. Spray carburetters. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militõrstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. June 22, 1932, No. 17607. Convention date, July 31, 1931. [Class 7 (iii).] In a carburetter having an accelerating fuel-pump actuated from the throttle valve positivelv on its suction stroke, and through resilient means on its delivery stroke, means are provided for positively moving the piston after a predetermined movement of the throttle valve against the resilient means has taken place. The pump cylinder e is fed from the float chamber b through an aperture f, and contains a piston h which is actuated positively on the suction stroke by a plate m on a rod k connected to the throttle d. The delivery stroke is effected by a spring n. In order that spraying through nozzle g may take place after a definite throttle opening, a sleeve o is adjustably screwed on the rod k and is adapted to contact with the bottom of the piston. The main nozzle is shown at c.
