495,279. Spray carburetters. FICHTEL & SACHS AKT.-GES. Feb. 21, 1938, No. 5457. Convention date, Feb. 19, 1937. [Class 7 (iii)] To facilitate starting, after communication between a horizontal air-inlet passage 8 containing the fuel nozzle and a vertical mixing- chamber 7 has been cut off by a valve 13 operated by a Bowden cable 14 a piston 18 is operated to inject fuel from the float chamber 12 into the mixing-chamber through a duct 23. Initial movement of the piston closes a duct 16 through which fuel is admitted to the pump cylinder 17 and further movement delivers the fuel through a bore 19 and a recess 20 in the piston to the duct 23.
