381,726. Frequency measurements. EVERETT, EDGCUMBE, & CO., Ltd., 117, Victoria Street, DREW, A. E., 217, Norbury Crescent, Norbury, and EVERETT, R. E., Colindale Works, Hendon, all in London. Oct. 16, 1931, No. 28852. [Class 37.] Frequency meters incorporating a master clock have the standard time indicator driven by an electric motor, a pendulum or other escapement being employed for regulation only. The two indicators may be driven by separate electric motors. Indicator 1 is driven by a synchronous motor 2 the gearing allowing one revolution in three minutes when the frequency is correct. The standard time indicator 3 is driven by the same motor through a slipping clutch 5, 6, the loose member 5 being in the form of a regular six-sided figure. A flat tapper-plate 8 operated by an impulse electromagnet from a master clock pendulum corrects the position of the indicator 3 at regular intervals. The member 5 may have twelve or other number of faces, and the gearing may be varied proportionally. The member 5 may have V-grooves engaged by a roller substituting the plate 8.
