[Class 139] A timekeeper of the type in which the fixed dial is divided into concentric parts 4, 5 marked for the hours of the twelve and twenty - four hour systems respectively and in which a central rotating disc 24 bears the names of different timecentres of the world is characterized in that two independent hour hands 2, 3 are rotated one at half the speed of the other and read against the scales 4, 5 respectively. The disc 24 is rigid with the twenty-four hour hand 3. A minute hand 1 common to both hour hands reads against fixed scale 6. In a modification the twentyfour hour hand is replaced by a toothed annulus carrying a pointer which travels around a circular slot in the fixed dial. To indicate A.M. or P.M. at window 15, a Maltese cross 16 carrying the letters A and P each twice is rotated a quarter revolution every twelve hours by a bell-crank 17 and a pin 18 on the train. Rotatable frictionally with the twentyfour hour hand 3 and adjustable relatively thereto is a supplementary pointer 24a which can be used to indicate the time of a selected place. In a modification an A.M. or P.M. indicator is carried on the disc 24 against each name marked thereon. The twelve and twentyfour hour scales 4 and 5 may be interchanged. The various hands may be differently coloured.
