Abstract

401,951. Electric signalling systems. LANDIS & GYR AKT.-GES., 1, Hofstrasse, Zug, Switzerland. March 29, 1933, No. 9447. Convention date, April 23, 1932. [Class 40 (i).] In a telemetering system in which indications are transmitted by impulse frequency, the incoming impulses are converted into mechanical impulses of uniform character which rotate a generator supplying current to a measuring instrument. As shown, impulse relay 3 controls an escapement 4, 5 driven by a spring drum 11 wound by a motor 10. The escapement shaft is connected by gearing 7 and a spring drive 8 to a D.C. generator 9 which is thus driven at a speed corresponding to the impulse frequency. The output of the generator is measured by an instrument 13 which may be of the integrating type.
