Abstract
376,852. Clock face time-reminders. HILL, A. T., 125, Borough High Street, London. April 22, 1931, No. 11938. [Class 139.] In an indicating device for attachment to a clock comprising one or more manually adjustable pointers to indicate when a predetermined time has elapsed (e.g. in a cooking operation), the pointers are mounted on a member adapted to embrace the clock casing and to be adjustable to fit clocks of various sizes. The collar 11 has a section as shown in Fig. 2 for receiving adjustable pointers 12, 13 on its bead 11<1> and is clamped to the clock case 5 by the screw and nut 17, 18. For timing a number of cooking or other operations concurrently, pairs of pointers may be suitably coloured. The collar may consist of a closed ring with internally disposed leaf springs which frictionally grip the clock casing. These springs may be stamped from the material of the collar or may be separate members secured to the closed ring.
