Abstract
378,679. Baths and like hollow-ware vessels. WEBSTER, W. H., 7, Jubbergate, York. Sept. 21, 1931, No. 26312. [Class 26.] A sheet metal bath, wash-tub, or like hollowware vessel is provided in lieu of the usual twc handles with fittings or attachments, each serving as a handle and as a support or holder for soap &c. Each fitting comprises a shallow dished tray 1, the inner edge of which conforms to the shape of the wall of the vessel 2, formed with lugs 3 riveted or welded to the vessel. The tray is formed with an opening 5 and a flange 4 disposed at the centre of the inner edge so as to leave draining channels on either side ; further, the inner edge is preferably dished and spot-welded to the vessel as at 6, and, together with the lugs 3, may be arranged to straddle the edge of the vessel. Where the vessel is constructed of two blanks, the fittings are preferably arranged to extend across the joints.
