[Class 26] A bath, Fig. 1, is secured against a wall or other support, by means of a hollow panel 17 secured to the wall &c. and having the lower end of its front wall adjacent the rim of the bath. In Fig. 4, the rim of the bath has a thickened extension 14 and a plate 23 is secured at 24 to a wall, studs &c. ; between these two member is secured a clamping-member 31 having a finger-portion 31<a> by means of which a forwardly inclined flange 31<b> may be drawn up into engagement with the underside of the rim. A reinforcing-member 27 is bolted to the members 31, 23, and has a forward portion 29 serving to accommodate the lower edge of the panel 17, the upper edge 18 of which is downturned and is received in an offset portion 25 of the plate 23. The portion 29 is accommodated in a pliable moulding-strip 33. In Fig. 5, the member 26 has a downwardlyextending flange secured to the rim 14 by clamps 46, and the upper portion of the panel is secured in position by means of a bracket 48 suitably-shaped at the top and secured to the wall and floor. The hollow panel serves to receive various pipes and its front wall may accommodate valves 41, Fig. 1, a spout 42, soap &c. receptacles 43 and a hand-bar 45. It may also provide a shelf 15 or extend to the ceiling and may enclose one or more sides of the bath.
