Abstract
432,956. Bracket draining-boards. WILLOUGHBY, L. I., 29, St. Andrews Place, Listerhills, and BADDELEY, L., 5, Lindum Terrace, both in Bradford, Yorkshire. Dec. 13, 1934, No. 35161/33. [Class 52 (v)] A draining-board adapted to fit over the edge of a sink comprises a stamped or pressed metal board A with separate hinged jaws J, J<1> adjustable as to distance apart to fit sinks of different thicknesses, and a strut D<1> also hinged to the board and adapted to engage notches J<3> in the jaw J<1> to support the board at various angles. The jaw J<1> which engages the outside of the sink, has pins J<2> taking in notches C<1> of slots C in the depending side flanges of the board. The jaws and strut fold flat on to the underside of the board which may then be hung up by a hole which also acts as a drain aperture. The face of the board may be covered with a resilient material. The flange is cut away at A<1> between the jaws to engage the top of the sink and may be lined with rubber at this part.
