Processes. - Relates to the moulding of clay articles by means of a concave die having a flexible rubber &c. lining and consists in stretching and securing a sheet of rubber &c. over the edge of the convex die. As shown applied to the manufacture of tea-pot lids, a sheet 12 of rubber &c. is stretched over the edge 14 'of the convex die 10 and is secured thereto by a cord 13 engaging a, suitable groove. The concave, die 2 is positioned by screws 3 engaging a groove 7 and is also furnished with a rubber &c. sheet 8 secured by a cord 9. Vents 16 may be provided on one or both dies. A screw 11 operates the die 10.
