Memorandum appliances. - A movable-strip writing-appliance consists of a closed casing provided with a hinged lid A having a transparent window B of celluloid or the like, upon which pressure is applied by a writing-point to produce impressions on the undersurface of a band R of transparent paper superposed on an inking-band over a writing-plate M within the casing. The band of transparent paper is traversed longitudinally between two rollers W rotated by external knobs C. The inking-band is carried by rollers L accessible when the hinged lid is opened and is traversed at right angles to the band R. The rollers L and writing-plate M are carried by a frame hinged along one edge to the bottom of the casing. The edges of the plate M are thickened to prevent the band R from coming into contact with the inking-band during movement.
