510,449. Glazing roofs. WILLIAMS & WILLIAMS, Ltd., and WILLIAMS, J. Feb. 1, 1938, No. 3157. [Class 20 (iii)] Relates to end stops E<2>, Fig. 1, and fixing shoes F<1>, for use with glazing-bars A of the kind in which the glass is supported by projections A<2>, Fig. 2, and resilient clips C. According to the invention, the end stop comprises an L-shaped strip engaging the underside and end of the glazing-bar and a shoe F<1> secured to the bearer D and embracing the strip and the flanges A' of the glazing-bar to fix these parts together. After attaching the shoe to the bearer, the strip is placed in position with its side recesses x engaging the shoe and its ribs E<4> resting on the bearer. The glazing-bar A is then inserted by sliding it through the projections F' on the shoe, its base engaging the upper surface of the strip and its end passing between projections E<3> on the strip. The fixing screws F<5> of the shoe may be replaced by a central bolt. Specification 501,417 is referred to.
