543,071. Jacketed vessels. THOMPSON (DUDLEY), Ltd., J., and COLEMAN, A. C. Sept. 3, 1940, No. 13771. [Class 66] [Also in Group XIII] Relates to pans &c. with fluid-tight jackets serving for heating or cooling of the vessel. The walls 6, 8, of the vessel and jacket are flanged at 7, 9, so as to meet over the width of the jacket space and are joined at 10 by electric welding or by bolting or riveting, the upper part of the pan proper being formed by welding an extension 4 to the wall 6. Tubular stays 12 integral with and projecting from the jacket are welded to the wall 6 of the vessel.
