378,161. Valve mechanism ; regulating. WILKINS, T., 19, St. David's Road, Sou h, St. Anne's-on Sea. June 30, 1931, No. 18824. [Class 7 (vi).] A light conical valve c in the cylinder head, controlling a number of equally-spaced exhaust ports b<1> in a two-stroke engine, is rotated intermittently by Geneva a stopgear comprising a rotating member n<1> carrying a pin n<2> which engages a slotted disc d<1> on the valve spindle. The member n<1> is driven at crank-shaft speed by gearing m<2> and shaft m<1>. Regulating.-The driving-member n<1> is connected to its spindle n<3> by serrations numbered with relation to the number of teeth in the gear wheels m<2> so as to give a vernier adjustment of the timing.
