Abstract
374,936. Electric lump holders. LUCAS, Ltd., J. and EGGINTON, W. H., Great King Street, Birmingham. May 18, 1931, No. 8307. [Class 39 (ii).] In a vehicle lamp of the kind wherein the lamp holder is attached to an internal reflector the lamp holder is formed from a metal strip bent to provide a rigid end piece b, Fig. 3, and a pair of resilient side members a which are both formed with circumferential slots h adapted to engage portions f<1>, Fig. 4, projecting inwardly from the edge of an aperture provided in the reflector, the lamp holder being inserted into the aperture and rotated to effect the engagement. Notches g are provided in the edge of the aperture to permit the passage of the pins d, Fig. 1, of an electric lamp of the bayonet type into slots c in the side members a of the holder. A single central contact pin i may be held in position by a helical spring j<1>, or pair of resiliently held contact pins may be provided.
