370,811. Pivoted - sliding windows ; window regulators. KLEIN, G., 29, Rue Wurtz, Paris. Sept. 8, 1931, No. 25206. Convention date, Sept. 25, 1930. [Class 20 (iii).] A sliding sash is adapted, when in its closed position, to be rotated through 180‹ in a pivoted frame e. The sash opens into a cavity and is raised by any suitable actuating means on a cross-piece j, which may carry a pivot for the frame e, the upper pivot being carried by the fixed frame. The sash and cross-piece are connected by hooks m and apertures n which are disengaged when the sash and frame e are pivoted. Adjustable screwed stops p determine the raised position of the member j. The frame e is preferably composed of two parts screwed together. Weather checks s are screwed to the fixed and pivoted frames, respectively, and a removable frame adapted to be fixed on studs covers the joint between the pivoted and fixed frames on the inside. The member j may be channel-shaped to house the roller of an actuating lever q. A fanlight b may be mounted above the sliding sash.
