Abstract

367,473. friction pivots for windows. PITTAR, G. F., 187, Union Street, Borough, London. Nov. 26, 1930, No. 35561. [Class 65 (ii).] One member of a pivot comprises a split ring A having ears a for attachment to the fixed window frame and lugs a<2> through which an adjusting screw C passes. The other member consists of a circular boss adapted to fit into the ring A, which is then tightened by means of the screw to give the required friction. The boss is fixed to the swinging sash after assembly of the pivot by screws inserted from the inside of the sash frame.
