Abstract

365,179. Automatic guns. FROMMER, R. VON, 158, Soroksari Ut, Budapest. Oct. 18, 1930, No. 31276. [Class 119.] Relates to automatic guns having a straightpull breech-bolt 1 with a locking-head 3 rotatable about a non-rotary firing pin 5 under the action of a tongue 2 on the bolt which engages a helical groove in the head thus causing the rear end of the firing pin to recede within the bolt and out of reach of the striker 12 when the breech is open. According to the invention, forward firing movement of the firing pin against the action of a retraction spring 6 is prevented by a projection 9 on the pin which is blocked by the rear surface 13 of the locking-head except when the breech is locked, when the projection is opposite to a recess 11 in the head.
