363,472. Yielding bearing mounts. ALLM€NNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET, Võsteras, Sweden. Nov. 7, 1930, No. 33606. Convention date, Nov. 7, 1929. [Class 12 (i).] A rotary body 2 carrying an overhung body 3 is mounted on a horizontal shaft carried in two bearings 6, 7, the bearing 7 which is common to the bodies 2, 3 being rigid, and the bearing 6 remote from the overhung body 3 being yielding. The bearing arrangement which is for reducing the critical speed of the rotary body is particularly applicable to a turbo-generator set in which 2 is a rotor and 3 a turbine. As shown the bearing 6 is supported from the casing 4 by four flexible plates 9. In a modification three flexible plates are used.
