299,051. Swiss Locomotive & Machine Works. Oct. 21, 1927, [Convention date]. Mounting rotors. - The rotor of an electric motor driving two rotary compressors is without bearings of its own and is supported by the shafts of the two compressors. In one form, the shafts 5, 6 of two rotary compressors 1, 2 are supported in bearings 7 - - 10 and extend into a sleeve 17 so as to support the rotor 18 of an electric motor 12 which is mounted on the sleeve. The sleeve is keyed to the two shafts in a manner which provides for relative axial movement. In another form, the shaft of the electric motor extends into axial bores in the shafts of the two compressors and is keyed therein to them.
