[Class 35.] Mounting rotors. -Ball bearings for the rotor shaft of a dynamo-electric machine are arranged so as to be bodily adjustable longitudinally in their bases while setting up the machine and are then fixed in position. For this purpose the bearings are mounted in cylindrical seatings 2 into which the outer races can be forced. The inner races may bear on shoulders on the rotor shaft 1 and the bearings may be further secured by sheet-metal covers 9, 10. Such bearings may be arranged at both ends of the shaft or at one only.
