Abstract

629,149. Supporting and mounting bearings. ARMSTRONG SIDDELEY MOTORS, Ltd., CLARK, T., and FELLOWS, L. R. Aug. 30, 1947, No. 24049. [Class 12 (i)] [Also in Group XXVI] An annular bearing support 11 is connected to a surrounding casing 12 by three symmetrical angularly-spaced links 19 which are substantially tangential to the bearing support. The annular support 11 has three external bosses 16 comprising a pair of spaced eyes 17, 17 supporting a pivot pin 18 upon which is journalled one end of a link 19. The other ends of the links 19 are journalled on pins 20 secured to the casing 12. The invention is described with reference to an axial flow internalcombustion turbine.
