[Class 8 (ii).] A portable or other fire extinguisher a is recharged from a refill c by means of a connecting member f which is screwed on the nozzle d of the refill and thereafter screwed on the nozzle b of the extinguisher so that a joint is made between parts b, g and the part g is moved endwise to pierce the diaphragm e' of the refill and allow its contents to discharge through a bore in the member g.
