Abstract
296,119. Graham, H. B., and Read & Campbell, Ltd. May 25, 1927. Portable pressure reservoirs; sprinkling apparatus, non-automatic. - A fire-extinguisher of the kind in which liquid is ejected upon the piercing of a pressure-gas capsule and wherein the jet nezzle may be directed in any desired direction, has a standard b formed with bores b<1>, c<2> and a projecting tapered axle c. Rotatably mounted on a non-ferrous sleeve g' on the axle is a block comprising an operating handle d and a nozzle h fitted with a spring cap. The block is held inwardly on the axle by a spring f. The bore b<1> communicates on the one hand with the dip tube j and on the other with the nozzle h by way of the bore c<2> and an annular cavity d<3> formed between the block and the axle. The dip tube is provided with a strainer j<1> and an expansion chamber p.
