Abstract
362,693. Heating water. KING'S PATENT AGENCY, Ltd., 146A, Queen Victoria Street, London. - (Aktiebolaget C. T. C. ; Gothenburg, Sweden.) Dec. 22, 1930, No. 38315. [Class 64 (i).] In heat-accumulating apparatus wherein liquid is fed into the accumulator tank at different temperatures, a distributing shield 17 is so disposed in front of the inlet opening to the accumulator and spaced from the inner wall that liquid flowing into the accumulator enters into that portion of the liquid in the accumulator having the same temperature as the entering liquid. There may be more than one connection 10a from the pipe 8, Fig. 2, to the space within the shield 17. A shield 18a may be placed in front of the flow pipe 7 from the boiler 1. The accumulator liquid circulates through a heat exchanger 3 to heat liquid supplied through connection 5 and discharged through connection 6. The heating element 20, Fig. 4, may be situated within a casing 21 in the accumulator, a shield 18b giving a vertical slot exit for the heated liquid.
